Eighteen holes,
one hundred years
of tradition.
A private members’ club and resort in the Virginia foothills — a Donald Ross–inspired championship course, a 1924 clubhouse and twenty-four rooms overlooking the lake.
A members’ club
with an open door.
Founded by twelve tobacco merchants in 1924, the Fairway Club has never been about exclusivity for its own sake. Visitors are welcome on weekdays, juniors play for $20, and the bar still serves the same gin fizz it did on opening day.

Members, visitors & guests
“The best-conditioned greens I have putted on outside of a tour event. The 15th alone is worth the trip.”
“Forty years a member and I still look forward to the walk up the 18th to the terrace. A proper club, beautifully kept.”
“We booked the Stay & Play for my father’s seventieth. Faultless service, superb dinner, and he finally broke 85.”
